Plan A Staff and Associates
If you are a renter and have any interactions with any of the people listed below, please exercise caution and contact us for support. |
Anoop Majithia
Anoop Navin Majithia is the owner of Plan A Real Estate Services Ltd and is licensed as the company’s Managing Broker by the BC Financial Services Authority. He is the sole director of the company that owns Park Beach Manor. Vancouver renters may remember Majithia from the time he drew ridicule for placing "RIP Kobe” signs outside of some of his rental buildings.
Negative coverage of Majithia’s practices as a landlord dates back to at least 2014. He has been accused of harassing and illegally evicting tenants, and in 2022 was fined $10,000 for unlawfully using short term rental agreements to evade the Residential Tenancy Act.
Majithia conducts much of Plan A’s work personally but is known to use aliases from time to time when speaking to tenants. Court records show a lengthy list of legal disputes involving Majithia and his companies going back decades, sometimes with Majithia as claimant and other times respondent. He is sometimes joined as a litigant by his wife and business partner Dr. Sharlene Gill.
Dr. Sharlene Gill
Dr. Gill is an oncologist and Professor of Medicine at UBC School of Medicine. She is on the leadership team of BC Cancer Foundation and has given a TEDx Talk on her approach to cancer treatment.
Together with Majithia she founded MD Realty, a real estate brokerage for medical professionals. She and Majithia co-own 3 units in the luxurious Paradox Hotel at 1151 W Georgia St (formerly the “Trump Hotel”), collectively valued at over $5 million. Two of those 1-bedroom units have been available for rent via Plan A at $4,650 per month. Dr. Gill also owns over a dozen other properties that are rented and managed by Plan A.
In April 2024, Dr. Gill joined Majithia in the BC Supreme Court to successfully evict a tenant for so-called "landlord use". She also appeared for Plan A at the Residential Tenancy Branch during the company’s campaign against tenants of 1168 Pendrell St.
Karen Ho
Karen Ho is a BC Financial Services Authority licensed broker working for Plan A Real Estate. Ho's name appears on some of the Park Beach eviction notices as the landlord’s agent. Her expertise was instrumental in forcing tenants of 1168 Pendrell St from their homes and converting the building to a “luxury” residence.
Pratik Bhati
Pratik Bhati is “Operations Manager” for Plan A Real Estate Ltd. Per his public LinkedIn profile, his job is to “oversee the daily operations, manage the three verticals of administration, leasing and maintenance of a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, ensuring tenant satisfaction, compliance with regulations, and profitability.” The precise scope of Pratik’s duties are unclear but he is seen regularly at Park Beach Manor.
Swaliha Zahur Sayed
Swaliha’s role with Plan A is unclear, but on many occasions she has been seen at Park Beach Manor posting notices on behalf of the landlord. She has denied working for Plan A in conversations with tenants at the building, however she has been present at Plan A’s offices on multiple occasions including when Park Beach tenants went to retrieve building access fobs that were unlawfully being withheld from tenants.
Kevin Tse
Kevin Tse’s precise role at Plan A is unknown but has greeted tenants and accepted deliveries at Plan A’s office at 997 Seymour St.
