The Vancouver Tenants Union represents 3500 members across Vancouver who are organized into our 7 neighbourhood based chapters. We are fully funded by our dues paying members. We do not have paid staff or receive regular grant funding for our operations. Dues are used by chapters for organizing buildings to fight back against exploitative landlords and for building our city-wide organization. For example, we use dues money on food for events, renting office and meeting spaces, and buying materials (e.g. art supplies, mics and equipment).

Our suggested membership fee formula:

Suggested membership dues are on a sliding scale according to your income:

• Under 50,000: 5$ per month
• 50,000 - 75,000: 10$ per month
• More than 75,000: 20$ per month (or more)
