Neighbourhood Chapters

Neighbourhood Chapters consist of VTU members and tenants organizing to build connection and solidarity amongst neighbours at a local level. Neighbourhood Chapters host regular meetings, events and primarily function to organize tenants in rental buildings. Neighbourhood Chapters coordinate with the broader Vancouver Tenants Union by selecting a representative to sit on the VTU's Steering Committee.

A Neighbourhood Chapter may be established by a petition to the Steering Committee by 3 or more VTU members in good standing outlining its geographic boundaries. If a Neighbourhood Chapter ceases to hold any meetings or events for three consecutive months may be deemed "inactive" and removed from this page.

If you do not live in the formal boundaries of a Neighbourhood Chapter, you are welcome to reach out to and join the one closest to you!
